Why we’d go
Yo-Chi landed on Campbell Parade in mid-2024, right beside Anita gelato, and it's become the default post-beach or after-dinner sweet stop for the strip. The draw is control: you pull your own swirls of probiotic froyo (including coconut- and almond-based vegan flavours) and pile on fruit, compotes, mochi, popping pearls and sauces, so a fussy kids' table and a health-leaning adult can both walk out happy. We'd choose this over a sit-down dessert when the group can't agree and everyone wants something slightly different.
What to order
Build-your-own frozen yoghurt or an açaí base; the signature tart yoghurt is the house benchmark, and the dairy-free coconut/açaí flavours cover vegan and dairy-free eaters.
The atmosphere
Bright, casual, self-serve and buzzy — queues build on warm summer evenings.
Local tip: It's pay-by-weight, so a bowl that looks modest can climb fast once you load the toppings bar — go easy on the heavy sauces and fruit compotes if you're watching the cost. It's open late (to around 10:30–11pm), making it one of the more reliable after-dinner options on the Parade.
Worth knowing: It's a national chain rather than a one-off Bondi original, and there's no ocean view despite being a block from the sand — this is a grab-and-stroll treat, not a destination sit-down.
