Why we’d go
This is where Oporto began, and the Campbell Parade store still does exactly the job it always has: fast, flame-grilled chicken, Bondi Burgers and chips a short walk from the sand. We'd choose it for a cheap, filling feed straight off the beach or late at night when most kitchens have shut, rather than for a sit-down meal. The real draw is the Prego and chilli sauces more than any atmosphere.
What to order
The signature Bondi Burger (or the Double Fillet version), flame-grilled chicken with Prego sauce, and chips with the chilli sauce or aioli.
The atmosphere
Bright, busy fast-food counter — order and go
Local tip: It stays open late — to around midnight on weekends — so it's one of the more reliable options once the beachfront cafes have closed; grab a burger and eat it on the grass across the road overlooking the beach.
Worth knowing: It's a fast-food chain outlet, not a dining destination — counter service, limited seating and no real view despite being metres from the water.
