Why we’d go

From the team behind Neighbourhood, this is the anti-Bondi Bondi bar: corrugated cattle-shed roofing over the bar, rock 'n' roll posters and a deliberately thrown-together dive aesthetic that feels more inner-west than beachfront. The draw is cheap wings across a long list of sauces and rubs, a serious back bar of American whiskey, and '90s-themed cocktails and boilermakers. We'd choose it when you want a loud, unpretentious drink and a feed rather than a polished sit-down dinner.

What to order

The dollar wings are the signature — work through the saucy and dry-rub options (hot sauce, Dr Pepper barbecue, Old Bay, jerk) and the notoriously fierce chilli wings served with a glass of milk. Round it out with a smash-style cheeseburger or the fried-chicken-and-waffle burger, and a boilermaker off the bourbon list. A vegan burger covers plant-based diners.

The atmosphere

Loud, grungy dive bar with rock and 2000s pop-punk energy

Local tip: Wings are the whole point and priced to match, so come hungry and order more rounds than you think — and if you spot the "idiot"-level chilli wings on the board, that glass of milk alongside them is not a gimmick.

Worth knowing: It's a divey drinking bar, not a beachfront view spot or a place for a quiet or family-friendly meal — best later in the day when the volume suits it.
