The TCS Sydney Marathon is a 42.195 km point-to-point from Miller Street in North Sydney, across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, finishing at the Sydney Opera House forecourt. It became the seventh Abbott World Marathon Major in 2025.
It is not a Bondi event - the course stays on the harbour side of the city - but race weekend reshapes the whole of Sydney, and a lot of runners base themselves in Bondi for the coastal-walk hills and the cold-water recovery. Expect widespread road closures and busy trains across the CBD and North Sydney on race morning.
