Festival of the Winds fills the Bondi sky with kites for a free, family-friendly day on the beach - giant display kites, workshops, music and food stalls.
It is run by Waverley Council and is one of the most family-friendly days on the Bondi calendar. The 2026 edition runs 11am to 4pm on Sunday 13 September, with road closures around Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive South - check the council’s event page before you drive.
