Lox in a Box
Bagels · North Bondi

Best for: A pre- or post-beach bagel run in North Bondi

Café in North Bondi
A proudly female-owned, independent all-day cafe tucked on Ramsgate Avenue at the quieter North Bondi end, doing produce-led brunch a short stroll from the sand.
This is the North Bondi neighbourhood cafe we'd point you to when you want a proper sit-down brunch away from the Campbell Parade crush. The kitchen leans seasonal and vegetable-forward, with in-house baking and a menu that's unusually generous to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free eaters. It suits a relaxed morning where you're happy to settle in rather than grab and run.
The green pea pancake with avocado, whipped feta and egg is the signature; also look to the ricotta pancakes, the Middle Eastern bowl, and the range of one-hander sandwiches and burgers for something heartier.
Laid-back and light, with Mediterranean-influenced distressed walls, tilework and an outdoor area.
Local tip: It's at the calmer Ramsgate Avenue end of North Bondi rather than on the main beachfront strip, so come here when the Campbell Parade cafes are packed out — and note the kitchen skews toward daytime, with a short summer sunset window on top of the core morning hours.
Worth knowing: It's a block back from the water, so despite the North Bondi setting you're not getting a full beachfront ocean-view table.
Hours, prices and menus change — always check the venue’s own site before you go. Spotted something out of date? We keep this directory current; details reflect our last check.
