Restaurant in North Bondi
A pocket-sized, day-to-night contemporary eatery on Glenayr Avenue that pours Will & Co coffee from early morning and swaps to cocktails and Italian-leaning small plates by night.
This is the kind of tucked-away neighbourhood spot we'd steer people toward when they want the real Bondi rather than the beachfront crowd. It runs two lives in one 28-seat room: an easy morning cafe for coffee and pastries, then a lamplit little bar trading in bright Mediterranean small plates and genuinely good cocktails. The cooking punches above the size of the space, and the room shifts convincingly from daytime casual to evening intimate.
Lean into the small plates built for sharing — burrata and greens, charred broccolini, ricotta with roasted grapes, and the taleggio croquettes — and pair with one of the house cocktails or a glass from the independent-leaning wine list. Coffee and focaccia if you're calling in during the morning shift.
Small space with a big personality; textured, muted interiors that dim into something warm and intimate at night.
Local tip: It's genuinely tiny (28 seats) — book ahead through OpenTable for an evening table, or come at the 6am–midday cafe end when you can usually just walk in for a coffee.
Worth knowing: No beach or ocean views and it's a side-street nook, so come for the food, drinks and vibe rather than a view — and the small-plates-and-cocktails format isn't the cheapest way to fill up.
Hours, prices and menus change — always check the venue’s own site before you go. Spotted something out of date? We keep this directory current; details reflect our last check.
