Run by the Milpa Collective team, Taqiza has been a Bondi fixture for years and reopened as a bigger "2.0" just off the main Hall Street strip after a six-year run on Glenayr Avenue. The kitchen goes well beyond the usual, with a dozen tacos spanning meat, seafood and genuinely good plant-based options alongside shared plates like street corn and quesabirria. With resident DJs on vinyl and Latin bands on Sunday sessions, we'd choose this for a colourful, drinks-forward dinner rather than a quiet meal.
Order across the taco board (Baja fish, slow-cooked brisket quesabirria and the vegan chorizo are the signature spread), the tropical guacamole and the tajin street corn to share, washed down with a classic or jalapeno margarita.
