Why we’d go

Owner Meidy grew up around Honduran coffee farms, and that heritage shows in the care taken over the coffee and the from-scratch, wholesome cooking. It's an award-winner too — Best Cafe at the 2023 Australian Small Business Championship — and it reads as the kind of friendly neighbourhood spot locals return to rather than a beachfront tourist churn. We'd choose this when we want a relaxed, unhurried breakfast away from the Campbell Parade crowds.

What to order

Start with the organic coffee, then look to the brunch staples — shakshuka, breakfast bagels and the bacon roll — or lighter options like the matcha coconut chia pudding; save room for a croissant or the pistachio cookies.

The atmosphere

Relaxed, friendly, neighbourhood cafe with a family-run feel.

Local tip: It's a daytime-only kitchen that winds down mid-afternoon, so treat it as a breakfast or lunch stop rather than a late one — and it's up on Bondi Road, an easy pairing with a walk down to the sand afterwards.

Worth knowing: No ocean views or beachfront buzz here — it's a suburban-street cafe several blocks back from the water.
