Why we’d go

This is the Bondi outpost of the Kazzi Beach Greek group (after Balmoral and Manly), and it leans hard into island-taverna theatre — white walls, blue accents, bougainvillea and tightly-packed tables that fill fast. We'd choose it when you want a high-energy, shareable Greek feed rather than a quiet dinner, with a menu built around chargrilled octopus, halloumi, saganaki and generous meat platters. It's also unusually flexible for the strip, opening from 7am for breakfast wraps and pastries as well as full lunch and dinner service.

What to order

Chargrilled octopus, warm houmous and pitta, halloumi, prawn saganaki, and the meat platter (pork, lamb and chicken) for a group; the wraps are the easy off-the-beach lunch.

The atmosphere

Loud, warm and busy — classic taverna energy with closely-spaced tables.

Local tip: It packs out and service slows when it does, so book ahead for dinner or come earlier in the day when the same kitchen turns out breakfast wraps and Greek pastries at a far calmer pace.

Worth knowing: Prices run higher than the casual vibe suggests (the meat platter is $120 for two), and reviewers have found the desserts a weak point.
