Why we’d go
This is the drinks-and-a-view arm of Promenade Bondi Beach, House Made Hospitality's big Pavilion revival, and it has one of the best positions on the whole beach — an outdoor terrace looking directly over the sand and water. We'd choose it when you want a proper cocktail and something to graze on without committing to the full Etheus dining room next door, and because the terrace is walk-in only it's the spot to aim for on a spur-of-the-moment sunny afternoon. The all-day kitchen means you're covered whether it's a mid-morning bite or a golden-hour session.
What to order
Sydney rock oysters and a cocktail to start, then graze across the wood-fired pizzas, house pastas, or the seafood plates; the shared "For The Table" option is the value pick for a group.
The atmosphere
Relaxed and sun-soaked by day, livelier come evening; open-air terrace with prime beach views.
Local tip: The terrace is walk-in only, so if you want a front-row table for sunset, come early rather than banking on a booking — reservations run through the Etheus dining room, not the bar.
Worth knowing: Pavilion-front position and mid-range pricing mean it's neither cheap nor quiet; tables carry a 90-minute limit at busy times.
