This is the original Bangkok Bites, open on Hall Street since 2012 and still the neighbourhood go-to for a reliable, wallet-friendly Thai feed. The menu is broad and street-food-driven - curries, wok stir-fries, noodles and duck dishes - and the BYO policy (small corkage) makes it an easy choice for a casual group dinner without a licensed-venue markup. We'd choose it when we want a satisfying, no-fuss meal near the beach rather than a scene.
Our pick here is the classics the kitchen is known for - Pad Thai, cashew nut chicken, a Massaman or other curry, and the duck dishes; Tom Yum and Crying Tiger show up on the street-food side of the menu.
