The North Bondi Children's Pool is a shallow, rock-sheltered wading pool tucked right at the top of the sand, protected from the open surf, so little ones can paddle while you sit close by. If your kids want the real ocean, the north end is usually where the surf is smallest, but the rule never changes: only swim between the red and yellow flags where the lifeguards are watching, and ask them about the day's conditions first. Bondi is also a brilliant place for a first surf.
