Sundays is the tiny micro-bakery at 211 Bondi Road that founder Laetitia Loefti turned into a genuine phenomenon, largely by filming the whole thing on Instagram. On a good day the case can clear within about an hour of opening. What to order

The scrolls aren't the dense, heavy bakery kind - they're light and almost pancake-like, because each batch of dough is cold-fermented overnight and then left to rise twice more before baking. That texture is the whole point, so order at least one classic to see what the fuss is about.

• Classic cinnamon with cream cheese - the signature, and the one that goes first. Order it first.
• Biscoff - a core flavour, richer and more caramelised if you like things sweeter.
• Kinder chocolate - the other regular, and a hit with kids.
• Rotating specials like pistachio - these vanish fastest, so grab one if it's on.
• Matcha twists and the coconut cloud coffee (whipped espresso over coconut water) - Sundays leans hard into both, and either makes the classic pairing with your scroll.

Getting there

211 Bondi Road sits roughly halfway between Bondi Junction and the beach.
