How to get from the airport to Bondi
It's no surprise that many tourists get straight off the plane and head to Bondi as their first stop in Sydney. With plenty of accommodation options, great restaurants and, of course, the famous Bondi Beach it's a pretty great introduction to the Harbour City.
So, how do you get from the airport to Bondi Beach?
The easiest way to get to Bondi from the airport is by taxi or Uber. The fare will cost somewhere between $50-$65 (AUD) and take about 40 minutes, slightly less if the traffic is good.
Alternatively, the public transport links between the airport and Bondi Beach are good. A combination of trains and buses will get you from the airport to Bondi in about 90 minutes. To do so, head to the train station which can be located at both the International and Domestic terminals. Head to Platform 1 at these stations.
Catch the train to Central Station and change to Platform 24 to board your train on the Eastern Suburbs And Illawarra Line. This train will take you to Bondi Junction staton which is at the end of the line and will take about 20 minutes.
Once at Bondi Junction station head up the escalators to the bus terminal which is located in the same station as the train. In the bus terminal take the bus from either the A1 or A3 stands to head straight to Bondi Beach.
